Adam Buxton official web site

Sunday 12 June 2005

Adam Buxton is in the process of setting up a web site for his stuff. It will be available at http://www.adam-buxton.com/. Should be ready by the end of the week. And don't forget the Out Of Focus group is on this Wednesday.

Adam on BBC3

Friday 31 December 2004

Ad crops up on Arnando Ianucci's 2004: The Stupid Version on BBC3, 9.30 pm.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/tv/2004_stupid_version.shtml

As if the tv license wasn't enough, they put all the good stuff on the effing digital channels. As if the license collector insisted on using your loo and pissing all over the seat before he left.

Last Chancers status

Thursday 16 December 2004

Hardly news, but oh well.

The Last Chancers is on E4 this week, every night at 10.30 pm. Then gets repeated extremely quickly next week, starting Wednesday 22nd December on Channel 4 at 10.35 pm.

And Adam is plugging it on Richard & Judy on C4 on Monday the 20th. Tony MacMurray, who wrote the Last Chancers pilot and co-wrote this series, performed at the Hen and Chickens gig too!

Adam stand-up on Monday

Thursday 28 October 2004

Adam is doing a stand-up gig at the Hen & Chickens in Highbury Corner in London on Monday 1st November. I think there is a cover charge. Not certain what time he is on. 8 pm? 9 pm? Don't know.

Frustratingly current gig information available at the Hen & Chickens website: http://www.henandchickens.com/. Give them a call. Find out how much it is,and what time it is.

Desktop pictures/wallpaper

Sunday 24 October 2004

Put a new thing in the Stüffe page for pictures that can be used as desktop backgrounds. This was in response to a forum request for computer wallpaper and screensavers.

Mo' multi-media moved up the site

Saturday 9 October 2004

Just wanted to point out that more movies and sounds have been posted on this site, in case you haven't subscribed to the RSS feed (which gets everything new as soon as it is posted).

Back on Xfm, Saturdays at 1 o'clock

Saturday 2 October 2004

Adam and Joe will return to host a weekly radio show on Xfm. Starting 9 October, they will take the 1 to 3 pm Saturday slot.

Xfm is on 104.9 FM, and you can find their complete schedule on their website. Anyone in or near London should be able to pick it up.

Movies movies movies!

Wednesday 29 September 2004

2 Noo movies uploaded to the movies page. Except the movies are .mp4 movies, which will probably cause problems for people because my webserver sends them straight back out. Try right-clicking (for Windows and some Mac users) or clicking and holding (for other Macintosh users) on the link in order to force the movie to download to your hard disk.

You do need a recent version of QuickTime (or something else) to play these movies. Haven't had enough time to prepare the movies to work with every computer. Sorry.

Once you have the movie on your hard disk you can probably double-click it to open it properly.

Joe on BBC2 Head Jam

Tuesday 14 September 2004

Joe is a frequent guest on the BBC's trivia contest show, Head Jam. The series is currently getting repeated on BBC2 week nights at 7 o'clock. Often gets shown on BBC3.

And in an apparent case of nepotism, but really it wasn't, I helped setup the computer network for Woof TV, the production company behind Head Jam.

Reverse alphabetical picture updates

Tuesday 31 August 2004

Have been adding more pictures. Notice how the most recent pictures tend to start with the same letter? I have a folder of pictures I am working through. Note that new pictures/movies/sounds do not appear automatically on the front page, so it's worth checking those pages themselves.

More sounds and pictures appear on this site

Tuesday 17 August 2004

Have put a lot of the old pictures back on this site. Find all them on the pictures page. And discovered that most of the audio files survived too! Sounds live here..

RSS syndication

Saturday 14 August 2004

Like all cool sites, this one has an RSS feed. It's supposed to be RSS 2.0 format. It's useful because all new pictures and movies and news and stuff automatically gets posted on the feed.

http://doctormacintosh.co.uk/anj/rss

This is a list of software you can use to read RSS feeds. For Mac OS X, you might use NetNewsWire. There's a free version on that page.

Discussion forum news

Friday 13 August 2004

The discussion forum should work now. It looks very skeletal, but you can probably register and post abuse if you want to.

Dawn of multi-media

Thursday 12 August 2004

Have upload a couple of songs and a movie to this site. Songs are the Imperial Family theme and a rare radio advertisement, and the movie is the Bobby De Niro calypso (which I think is on the DVD anyway, so not that exciting).

Site snooze

Thursday 12 August 2004

Sorry for slow progress putting things on this site. And some bits like the forum and the search page still don't work (but will work soon). Please see the contact page if you have any questions or suggestions.
