Dry The Seat
Thursday 6 January 2005
Darrell Jones kindly sent me this MP3 file of Ad's parody. This was shown as part of the New Year's Eve show 2004: The Stupid Version.
Oh yes yes oh yeah.
Please Please Hold The Line
Wednesday 24 November 2004
As sung by 1471 in the fourth series, a song about call-waiting. And about playground fads. This was another Smudge studios production. I'd forgotten how funny the lyrics are.
Tetris song
Saturday 13 November 2004
Adam singing to the Tetris (Gameboy version) end-game music.
I think my favourite Gameboy game was Gargoyle's Quest. My cooler friend Stuart was the only person I ever knew who had that game.
Space
Saturday 9 October 2004
Another early-ish Adam & Joe song, this one about "space". I am guessing this one was another great Zac composition.
Ken's Kall
Saturday 9 October 2004
Ken Korda kalls Hollywood bigwig David Geffen and somehow fails to secure an appointment. Extremely funny.

Short clip from A&J's Xfm radio show where they over-react to some well-intentioned criticism from a sympathetic listener.
Special thanks to Benjamin de Campos for grabbing this clip.
The Footie Song
Monday 6 September 2004
The Footie Song turned up in the second series of the show. It is on the A&J DVD, and at one point you could buy it in the singles section of any decent record shop. It also appeared on a couple of football-song compilations.
Scalliwag's Warning
Saturday 28 August 2004
Scalliwag rapping about burping ("hearing him burp is like hearing Robbie Williams sing") to the drums of a fantastic Talking Heads track called Warning Sign.
Strange to think that album is more than twenty-five years old...

Monday 23 August 2004
This is an extended version of the A&J theme tune, by Martin Phipps.
Fairly confident that this is the same Martin Phipps' production credit list. I hope it is, he kindly made a CD for me with various bits of his work ages ago.
shittercrappier
Monday 23 August 2004
Anyone who has owned a Macintosh at some point in the past ten years will have recognized the voice on Radiohead's Fitter, Happier song from OK Computer.
I just wish Apple had done a voice like the early synthesizers that Kraftwerk used on Radio-activity. Those voices were much more menacing.

Adam and Joe recorded this very briefly after taking over my flat for an afternoon's filming.
imperialfamily
Thursday 12 August 2004
This is the song you hear on the Star Wars toy movie of The Imperial Family (like the Royle Family, you know?). Fran Healy is singing and playing the guitar (he is the lead singer in a band called Travis).

Thursday 12 August 2004
This was made for radio to promote the second or third series.
Good-ish chance it's in some weird bitrate MP3 or something. anjpromo.mp3
